Often religion has taught us that our inner experience isn’t to be trusted and that external sources of teaching overrule our inner authority. Spiritual direction is a space to unlearn that. It’s a space to let go of what has not been serving us and to reconnect with our experience of God and our inner wisdom. I believe, “God comes to us disguised as our life” (Paula D’Arcy). Therefore, as a trained listener, in each session I offer a unique listening space where you’re invited to turn toward your inner joy, pain, and whatever else you find with honesty, gentleness, compassion, humor, and trust. The spiritual direction relationship is about coming home to yourself and bringing awareness to your inner experience. As with any deep shift, this deeper inner awareness has ripple effects into all areas of life. Whether you come from a decades long spiritual practice, are just beginning to explore, or don’t consider yourself spiritual, this is a space for you.
